You cannot use an Oracle database together with any version of Dynamics AX 2012. If you are upgrading from the installation of the Microsoft Dynamics Axapta that uses an Oracle database, you must first migrate your data to a Microsoft SQL Server database, and then upgrade to your preferred version of Dynamics AX 2012.

To migrate your data to a SQL Server database, use the Oracle to Microsoft SQL Server Data Migration Assistant for the Microsoft Dynamics AX tool.
